The registration for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates – First Series is currently in progress. Interested candidates are urged to complete their registration process before the closing date of January 22, 2025.
The registration process is entirely online. After purchasing the Registration PIN, candidates should log on to www.waeconline.org.ng to begin the registration. Biometric features will be incorporated into the process for validation during the examination, marking the first time WAEC is conducting a Computer-Based Test (CBT). To prepare for the exam, it is highly recommended to use the Myschool WAEC CBT software or the mobile version to get accustomed to the CBT environment and cover past questions.
Key Details on Registration:
- Registration Fee: N27,000 (excluding N500 commission for bank agents).
- Mode of Payment: Candidates can pay via bank branches or accredited agents. They can also explore cashless payment channels such as Paga, Paycom, and others.
- Walk-in Candidates: Those who miss the registration deadline can still register as Walk-in Candidates at a fee of N45,000, provided they do so 24 hours before their intended paper(s).
- Special Needs Candidates: Special accommodations are provided. Candidates must clearly state their impairments during registration.

- Online Mock exams will be available for registered candidates to familiarize themselves with the testing environment.
- Candidates must complete their registration by the deadline, print the Admission Notice, and ensure all information, such as their name, gender, and subjects, is accurate.
- Examination will be conducted using CBT for objective papers and a hybrid format for essay and practical exams.
