The Zeribe Nwosu Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the 2025 ZNF AI and Data Science Scholarship, offering Nigerian students the opportunity to gain essential skills in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. This scholarship is designed to support undergraduate students in their academic journey and provide them with the resources to pursue careers in high-demand ICT fields.
The scholarship will award a generous ₦150,000 cash prize to successful applicants, which will go toward their learning and training in AI and Data Science. In addition to the financial support, the scholarship recipients will receive specialized training and certification, equipping them with the knowledge needed to excel in the rapidly growing tech industry.
The scholarship is open to students in their fourth year of undergraduate studies or recent graduates who have completed their project defense within the past year. Applicants must be students or graduates from Nigerian universities or polytechnics, either public or private. A minimum CGPA of 3.5 (on a 5.0 scale) is required for eligibility. Polytechnic students or those from universities using a 4.0 scale can convert their CGPA to a percentage equivalent, with 70% considered the minimum threshold.
The scholarship has no restrictions on the field of study, allowing students from various academic backgrounds to apply. However, medical students are required to present their results from the first year and proof of passing the subjects in years 2 and 3.
To apply, candidates must submit several key documents, including a personal statement, CV, letter of recommendation, unofficial academic transcripts, a statement of need, and a portfolio showcasing their work or experience in AI or Data Science. The portfolio can include projects such as publications, GitHub profiles, developed software or applications, websites, or databases, along with relevant tools and languages such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and machine learning.
