The Rt. Hon. Victor Oko-Jumbo Education Scholarship Award is now open for applications, providing a golden opportunity for indigenous Year 2 students in public universities and polytechnics across Nigeria. This scholarship aims to support students from Bonny origin as they continue their academic journey, ensuring that deserving students have access to the resources they need to succeed.
To be eligible for this prestigious scholarship, applicants must be enrolled as 200 Level students in a public university or ND2 students in a public polytechnic in Nigeria. A valid admission letter must be provided, and applicants must be of Bonny origin, with a Bonny Local Government identification letter to confirm this. Additionally, university students must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5, while polytechnic students should have at least a 3.0 CGPA. Maintaining this academic performance is crucial, as award recipients must uphold the required CGPA to continue receiving the scholarship.
Applicants who are 18 years or older must also be registered voters in Bonny and provide a valid voter’s card as proof. Being a member of the National Union of Bonny Students (NUBS) is a requirement for all applicants, further fostering a sense of community among students from Bonny. Only students enrolled in public institutions are eligible for consideration.
To apply, students must submit the required documents, including a valid admission letter, Bonny Local Government identification, a voter’s card (if applicable), proof of school fees payment, and a letter of attestation from their Head of Department that includes their current CGPA.
