The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is collaborating with the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) in Jigawa State to facilitate a smooth and transparent 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration process. This was revealed during a meeting held on Wednesday, 8th January 2025, at the JAMB State Office complex in Dutse, where the Jigawa State Coordinator of JAMB, Mr. Bello H. Aminu, hosted the NIPOST State Postal Manager, Mr. Ibrahim Musa.
Acknowledging NIPOST’s Contributions
In his opening remarks, Mr. Bello H. Aminu commended NIPOST for its significant contributions during previous UTME registration exercises. He stressed the importance of maintaining a strong partnership to ensure the success of the 2025 registration process.
“The contributions of NIPOST during past registration exercises have been invaluable. We must continue to work together to uphold transparency and efficiency in all the Board’s activities,” Bello said.
Measures to Prevent Malpractice
The State Coordinator emphasized the need for all NIPOST pin vendors to display their identification cards prominently while operating within JAMB premises. This measure is aimed at preventing impersonation and the extortion of candidates by unscrupulous agents.
“Vendors must display their ID cards at all times and remain within the Board’s premises to ensure transparency and avoid any malpractice,” Bello stated.
NIPOST’s Commitment to Collaboration
In response, Mr. Ibrahim Musa, the NIPOST Jigawa State Postal Manager, expressed the agency’s readiness to comply with JAMB’s guidelines and ensure a seamless registration process. He also announced plans for a joint sensitization campaign to educate candidates about the registration process and prevent potential challenges.
“We are committed to following all JAMB guidelines and will work together to ensure a successful 2025 UTME registration exercise,” Musa said.
Focus on Transparency and Efficiency
The partnership underscores the commitment of both JAMB and NIPOST to maintaining transparency and efficiency throughout the registration process. By working closely together, they aim to provide candidates with a secure and straightforward experience.
