The online application process commenced on Monday, December 30, 2024, and interested applicants are encouraged to visit the official university website for detailed information about available programs and application procedures.
Key Information:
- Application Fee: The cost of each application form is N12,000 (Twelve Thousand Naira), including administrative charges.
- Application Period: The sale and submission of application forms will close on Friday, May 30, 2025.
- Entry Requirements: Applicants must meet the entry requirements for the specific program they are applying for, including five O’level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, where applicable.
- Ph.D/M.Phil and Academic Masters’ Programmes:
- Applicants for these programs must ensure that transcripts of their academic records are sent to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, BUK.
- Ph.D applicants are required to submit a research proposal (not exceeding 350 words) covering the title, statement of the problem, and objectives.
Step-by-Step Application Process:
- Visit the BUK Postgraduate Application Page:
- Go to www.mybuk2.buk.edu.ng/cpsforms2024 and click on Applications under the PROSPECTIVE STUDENT TAB.
- Login using your full name and select “Applying for a Postgraduate Programme.”
- A username and password will be generated for you. Keep them for later use.
- Generate and Print the Payment Form:
- Log in with your username and password to generate your BUK Personalized Payment Form (BUKPPF).
- The payment fee of N12,000 is reflected on your BUKPPF and must be paid via the Remita e-Payments and e-Collection platform (www.remita.net).
- Complete the Application Forms:
- After payment, log in again and complete the Programme Selection, Personal Data, and Qualifications Forms.
- For Ph.D, M.Phil, and Academic Masters:
- Fill out the Transcript Request Form for Ph.D, M.Phil, and Academic Masters’ applicants and process it at your institution.
- Review and Submit:
- Carefully review all your forms to ensure the accuracy of all information.
- Once satisfied, click ‘SUBMIT’ to complete your application.
- Acknowledgement Slip:
- After submission, an Acknowledgement Slip will be generated. Print this slip and keep it safe as it will be required during your admission and registration.
Additional Information:
- Successful applicants will be required to submit their NYSC discharge certificates, certificate of exemption, or exclusion, among other documents during the screening exercise.
